Three is not a rule

The app starts with three lines. Write one, ten, or twenty. Finding three was almost impossible at first.

I started doing this when things were really bad.

Creditors.

Lawyers.

Liquidators.

Court.

Every day brought another meeting, another call, another problem.

At night, I was having panic attacks. Sometimes I listened to gratitude recordings just to interrupt what was happening in my head.

So I gave myself one small thing to do.

Write down three wins.

Some days I only had:

Woke up.

Sometimes I had lunch. Most days I did not have time, so lunch counted.

Sometimes I played with my daughter.

That counted for a lot.

Writing those things down did not fix the businesses. It did not make the creditors disappear. The day could still be fucking awful.

It just stopped the awful parts from erasing everything else.

I put the wins on a random Twitter account. It was not connected to my name. I was not building an audience.

I just needed a record.

Eventually one line became three. Then five. Then ten. Sometimes fifteen.

Years later, I needed it again for the opposite reason.

I was productive.

Then AI came along and I was burning through tokens and quotas, building things, testing things, and finishing more than I could remember.

I would reach the end of the day and think:

What did I actually do?

My head had already moved to the next ten things.

The record showed me the productive year the same way it had shown me the shit year.

This happened too.

That is all 3 Wins is.

Three lines to begin with, not three lines you owe.

Skip a day and nothing happens. Disappear for two weeks and come back. There is no streak to break and nobody watching.

It is private.

It does not score the day or decide whether lunch matters less than shipping a project.

You decide what counted.

Write one.

Write twenty.

It is just a record.
