Woke up counts

Some days the win was:

Woke up.

That was it.

The rest of the day was creditors, lawyers, liquidators, court, and bad news. At night there were panic attacks and gratitude recordings because I needed to interrupt what was happening in my head.

On another day:

Had lunch.

Most days I did not have time for lunch, so lunch counted.

Or:

Played with my daughter.

That was a big win.

The day was still awful. Writing those things down did not fix the businesses or make the creditors disappear.

It just stopped the awful parts from erasing everything else.

Years later, the days looked completely different.

I was productive again. AI made me intensely productive. I was building, testing, burning through tokens and quotas, and finishing a ridiculous amount of work.

Then I would get to the end of the day and think:

What did I actually do?

My head had already moved on to the next ten things.

So that counted too.

A thing shipped. A problem handled. Progress made.

The app starts with three lines, but three is not a rule. Write one. Write ten. Skip a day or two weeks. Nothing happens.

It does not score woke up against lunch.

It does not decide that playing with my daughter matters less than shipping a project.

There are no points for surviving a shit year and no bonus for having a productive one. No streak. No followers like the random Twitter account I used before. Nobody watching.

It is private.

It is just a record.

This happened too.
